Who it's for

What changes for patients, caregivers and facilities

Choose who you are to see what LUBOA changes for you.

Care facilities

Recalculate storage, disposal and the cost of excretion care.

A small difference per patient becomes an operational difference across the facility.

01Repeated use

Patients×Uses per day×30 days

For consumables used every day, small differences in volume and weight accumulate in inventory and storage.

  • PatientsResidents who need continence care
  • Uses per dayHow often each patient is changed per day
  • 30 daysPurchasing, storage and disposal over a month
02Volume, handling, cost

Excretion and consumables are handled separately

Excretion goes to the toilet and used film is handled separately, so excretion and consumables are managed apart.

03Operations

From purchasing to disposal, what changes at each stage

With LUBOA the interface is reused and only the thin film collection bag is replaced. Facilities can review the following differences at each stage of operation.

StageConventionalLUBOA
PurchasingBulky consumables bought repeatedlyInterface reused; the replaceable item is the film collection bag
StorageBoxes of consumables take up storage spacePotentially less storage volume with thin film
ChangingFull change including clothing and repositioningInterface stays; only the collection bag is changed
DisposalExcretion and consumables discarded togetherExcretion to the toilet; used film handled separately
04Before adoption

What we review together before adoption

Before the pilot starts, we agree with the facility on scope and evaluation criteria.

01

Target patients

Decide which patient groups, such as bedridden residents, and how many to include.

02

Staff guidance

Show care staff how to attach, change and dispose.

03

Disposal rules

Check that the method fits the facility's waste classification and handling rules.

04

Evaluation items

Agree in advance on usability, skin condition and change/disposal workload.

05Pilot

Pilot program

Adoption is reviewed step by step: consultation → samples → pilot → evaluation → supply agreement.
